Fresh from the news desk !

RC Pikeriver Raceway will be hosting his first big race, the 2008 ROAR Quebec On Road Nitro Regional Event in 2008. We name it like that in 2008 because we don't want to have a conflict naming with Canadian Gas Nats of our Ontario 1/8 partners.

This event will welcome Nitro racers in the 1/10 200mm sedan and 1/8 open.

The event will take place on august 8-9-10 2008:
Friday 8: Pratice
Saturday 9: Qualifications
Sunday 10: Finals

Within the track location there will be a cantine service, air compressor for racers, toilets and electricity at the pit tables. You may bring your 10x10 pit tents.

The track is 226 feet long by 75 wide. It is a permanent track, one of a kind within Canada.

Le longway or stretch will be 172 feet.
The track is coated with sugar/water to enhance traction.



The track will be fast for the 1/10 Sedan and more technical for the 1/8 class.

The track is comparable to the Fort Myers, Florida, where the Worlds RC Nitro Winternats took place.

Registration fees are $50 for the first class, $15 for additional classes. Registrations must be received before July 12th 2008. Late fees of $15 will be required after this date.

Full ROAR membership required (available trackside).

ROAR Full Annual Membership - $30 USD available online on www.roarracing.com/websitesignup.php

ROAR Memberships may be purchased in Canadian Dollars at current exchange rates.
You can eventually send your registration form to sales(@)fxrhobby(dot.)com

There will be trophees for all mains and door prizes.

Lodging information will be made available soon (camping, hotels, motels ).
The track is on 530, Route 133, St-Pierre-de-Veronne-de-Pikeriver, Province of Québec. It's about 45 minutes from Montreal, not far from Champlain Lake.

Spread the word around, post on the forums, as this will be a first at Pike River, Quebec.

Guaranteed I'll be there.

For those who don't know the track yet. It's one of the best permanent rc tracks in eastern Canada. I've been racing there for years and you can't have a better crowd of guys having fun
