Tamiya TG10-Mk2
Is anyone still racing this chassis out there? I just got this from a firesale (yes, I know, this is very very old) but I am wondering if there are any setup/racing tips for this starter car.
Thanks! :spidey::spidey::spidey: |

tg 10 mk1 parts
Hey thunder
I was at a local store in our area and saw they had some hop ups for your car. Thet have the rear alum arms, front alum 10 deg caster blocks and a c ouple of other things. The hobby store is Ultimate hobbies in Orange California. I hope this helps. |
Actually I was hoping this would be my intro car since I am still trying to figure out hot to properly setup the engine. I can get it started no problems, but I am having problem tuning to top speed since it is going slower than my EP with brushless 4.5R. Also the engine dies fairly easily at idle. Am I doing something wrong?

1. There might be some reasons why ur engine dies easily at idle: - first check is your glow plug in good condition - next check your air hole opening when it is at idle position. It might be too small to maintain the idle - if not, check if ur LEN is it too lean of too rich... (can do a search at the forum for more detail on engine tuning) 2. No top speed: - Is your HEN set at a very rich zone? - what is your engine running temp? - Is there oil/fuel coming out of your exhaust? if yes, you are runing rich... u can try lean ur HEN a bit...at the same time check the running temp - if not u can try up ur gears ratio. Other than that... u might be use to playing fast ep car...therefore stock engine might be slow for u....therefore u can change to a faster want!:blush: |

Actually I am running the stock engine and it runs about 220-230 degrees already and I think that's the limit for it right? |
I got my new TZ and it is so much better than the old engine.
My only problem is I don't think I have the linkage set right. Does any one still have this old MK2 and can post a picture of the throttle linkage/servo setup? :blush::blush: |

Yes, I run the TG10-Mk2s. :cool::cool::cool: btw, since u upgraded yr engine, there're some stuffs u need to hopup too on yr mk2s to be able to handle the power. just look closely at the mk2 manual and u'll spot the differences. i would recommand hopups on yr differential drive internals. :nod: have fun... |
