Hi guys,

Has anyone tried the Velox yet?
What about parts durability?
After how long do you have to change the belts?

Vasilis.

Velox option parts are nice! they are coming with it's own brass battery tray and Aluminum rear radio tray mount, which are priced surprisingly low, they are now available here in Europe, the brass battery tray are sold for only 20.00 Euros = US$33.00

I got a chance to check the car out first hand last Sunday at the gorgeous Leisure Hours track. I must say I am very impressed! 2 of our local racers had the car out for it's maiden voyage. I got a chance to make a couple of laps with one of them... It was very smooth and stable. Easy tuneabillity and the brakes are outstanding! First rate, I want one.

Hey Ron, glad to hear that you liked the car. First voyage out with it for me too and I must say, very impressive. Great car right out of the box, especially with the stock setup that comes with the kit. Dan and I will be playing with several setups in the next few weeks to get the best setup possible. If anyone has any comments or setup questions dont be afraid to ask, Dan and I will help everyone out as much as possible. Good luck with all the folks running this Velox..............Kurt

Default Option Parts

Seems like this thread has been quiet for a while. Are the Velox drivers all too happy and busy with races? Anyone has successful setups to share? How about any option parts for this car? If I were to purchase parts and options online, where do i go about getting it?

www.ybslowinc.com has a few parts for the Velox. There is a brass battery tray and a light midshaft.

No, were pretty quiet do to alot of testing. No hop up parts necessary. This car just the way it is out of the box needs no hop ups. I have been testing everything from roll center changes to soft and stiff setups. Im also testing the new white clutch shoe that is very kick *ss............ If your looking for parts just give Jerry a shout at XSPower. He can hook you up with parts. I know he is waiting on his next shipment to come in. If you have questions just ask.

IF you plan on running a lipo pack and lite weight body you will need to add around 65grams of weight at a roar event. The battery tray is the perfect place to add the weight. The battery tray from YBSLOW is the perfect way
to meet weight and maintain good chassis balance

Default velox

The car is great, easy to set up and very durable.

Just a few suggestions...

The plastic parts need a little work they are too soft (for example the plastic steering linkages have too much slop right out of the box, so I had to swap mine out for mugen ones)

Shepherd should make the radio plate mount (middle mount) out of aluminum also, or at least someone can make it as an option part.

otherwise, i'm happy with the car.
