Gearing Noob

Whats Up all,
Does anyone know where I can find an on-line write up on correct gearing for different tracks?? I've got suspension tuning pretty well, tires, hell the driving is coming along but I feel at a disadvantage sometimes on different track because I don't change up gears. I think I can hit a different level if I knew what I was doing with them. Any input is appreciated.

Different approach

OK,
Better question would go like this..........
ASSUMPTION: Currently I'm geared ideally for a medium sized track. I'll be going to a larger track, not necessarily open, but just larger. Do I.....

1. Increase or decrease tooth count.
2. Do I make that change to the pinion gear or spur gear?
Any advice anyone can lend is much apreciated!!!!!!

Hi Kevin,

Gearing up for a larger track could be done two ways: fitting a smaller spur(s) or larger pinion(s).
