Count down 9 days away,
LET'S GO RACING.
Here is some heads up info for Friday of the race.
Please all club members that are avaliable be at the track around 7:00 a.m. to help set-up the track please.
After the track is set up, the track maintenance crew will be spraying the track for about 45 minutes to an hour.
During that time I will have drivers check in. All drivers and pit persons are mandatory to check in before getting on the track. This all can be done within that time so when track open's, everybody will be ready to practice.
When checking in the drivers will receive a race program with most all race information and daily race schedule and race numbers. Our staff will be asking to check your PT numbers and freq and showing them your ROAR card.
Before track opens for practice, their will be a quick drivers meeting.
The first hour or so there will be open non controlled practice around 9 a.m. This is just to get racers on the track to see if we have to do any adjustments to the track or surface.
Following that hour or so we will go into controlled practice. The practice sessions will be 7 minutes long only
. This will help keep rotating the drivers on the track for equal time. Since there is 5 to 1 ratio, I will run 5-1/8 scale sessions and then 2-1/10 sessions. Remember, things can be adjusted accordingly to help the day run smoothly.
Some chance near the end of the day, I could run a round of practice in race mode so you all can run with the racers you will run your heats with. This will help you familiarize yourself with the other racers in your heat.
Depending on time at the end of day, open non-controlled practice for about hour. Then tear down the track. (All club members will help, please)
