Default Kyosho GS15R

How good is this engine.

It seems like everyone replace it with the OS .12cv-x .15cv-x in their kyosho models.

Whyyyyyy

GS15R 0.9 hp 185 g
OS .15 cv-x 0.68 hp 322g!!!!!!!!!!!

Default re gs15r

NO! its not that bad, The primary reason most people replace it is to conform to rules which dont allow 15 size engines to compete with 12 size engines in touring car type racing.
Having said that I dont think its fair to compare the gs15r to such engines as Novarossi etc allthough SP Racer (found lurking around the v-one-s thread regularly) has been very competitive against the likes of these with hid gs15r. They do run hot and can be a bugger to tune for a beginner but dont write them off until youve given it to someone to tune who knows the ropes with them! PM SPRacer if you run into dramas.
