Like a moth drawn to the porch light..
I race both Nitro and Electric, Both have their places, Both have their negatives and positives, I Race 1/8 Buggies and Truggies, I also have a Revo I race, I prefer electric for on road and 1/10 off road, But I do have a few Nitro TC's, and have had more than my fair share of nitro stadium trucks. For someone just starting out electric is much easier. But I guess it would depend on how good you are at mechanics. I will say that RTR's have brought a whole bunch of people into nitro that have no business having one, I'm sorry but if you have a Losi 8ight RTR and you bring it to the Hobby shop to get it worked on..you should really not own a nitro of this caliber..
..Something that I have noticed on this thread.. telling someone that "they" dont know how to tune an engine is the reason why they dont run nitro is just plain ignorant..especially if you dont know this person..One of the guys that you told "you'd show him how to tune an engine" has raced nitro, knows how to tune one and is fast..just prefers to race electric..Me I like Nitro Truggies..I dont think their any better than electric..but I do have 10 Nitro powered RC's..
