BB please don't tease me.....
Racing against cvr's etc, nothing equals the look on their faces when they see a pullstart cv that has just blown them away in a race.....
I just love jewellers files and my BMI chassis....

Just messn Xray! We race against CV's and CVR's every weekend they are good dependable engines and very easy for begineers to tune. It's very easy to over power the NTC3 with all the engines out there now, the car really don't need a ton of HP. With the right gearing the smaller engines work well in the car.

Hooked_on,
I'm running an MR12 (non pullstart) and i'm running into a little problem getting the correct mesh because the stock motor mounts dont line up with the new chassis. Protc3 is helping me out ALOT and sending me new motor mounts that should fix the problem.
p.s. How is Australia? My wife wants to go visit really bad. Are you anywhere near the croc hunters Zoo? I think its in Queensland.

Steve Irwins Zoo is on the Sunshine Coast about an hour out of Brisbane (Which is were i am.) in Queensland.
Sounds like i might need to get these other mounts shipped then?

Jay,
Still no luck. What i did notice was if i grabbed the engine by the heat sink the gears would mesh correctly. so i tried to screw them in while i had it in the air, but i guess i screwed them in to much cause it didnt work. I'll keep you informed
new info:
Good news and bad news.
The good news is that I can get it to mesh right. The bad news is that by the time i get the screws tight it moves the engine so that it is no meshed right. I can think of only three things. The pinions are warped, the spurs are warped or the engine blocks are warped. I have noticed a little play of the engine. i can move it slightly up and down when the screws are screwed in a little. So i am going to try and get new spurs, pinions and blocks. When the screws are in the block (but not tightened) its a little hard to move the engine around but i can still do it.

update
I got the low center of gravity mounts from my lhs, but they dont work either. Tommorow i'm going to get another set of spurs and pinions just to make sure. maybe they are warped.

Good News!
I got the mesh Perfect! I took the whole back end off and it meshed correctly. I'm going to put it back together and see if/when it doesnt mesh right. maybe one of the transmission holders is causing the problem? I'll let you know. but now its time for dinner. be back later

Eddie - I am not completely sure but I would say that it would cost between $50 - $75 more.

Did you guys put threadlock on the screw and nut that hold the metal receiver box? Also, what else did you threadlock?
Also, what batt pack r u all using?

You can use any 5 cell flat RX pack. I'd recommend blue thread lock on all metal to metal screw connections.

I like this aluminum because it stays clean. At least so far. Handling is better and I got my motor to mesh correctly (MT12). Took some time but I got it. After racing with it the effort was worth it. People just look at it and say... who makes that? I laugh. When you pick up the stock chassis compared with this one it's a joke. Thank you protc3 but I still want the other mounts.
