Questions?? Engine Tuning

Hi guys, hopefully someone can help me:

The problem is: I purchased this new HPI RS4 with an aftermarket .12 engine already installed. Ran it in. Used it several times, 1hr all up then packed it up. Bought a .18 for it, put this carby on the .18. Changed the settings for the.18engine. Put the carby back on the .12 to use the .12. Forgot the old settings (High speed and low speed needles) and now I can't get the .12 engine started. Should an average setting for both needles be 2 turns out from fully in for the high and low speed needles?

Hopefully I can get some help off the smarter guys out there!

Several things come to mind here.

What .12 motor do you have?
Where do you live and what is the temp / humidity level
What fuel are you running (brand and nitro content)
It is called throttle control for a reason.

If you can start the engine you must tune it to performance. Indicators like exhaust smoke, visable performance, sound an temperature will help you to get the right tuning. Adjustment by a number of turns is not done to get it right, exhaust pressure and the thickness of the fuel have influence on the right tuning.
Speed is only fiction but a 130+km/h MRS4 is for real.

Default tuning

Usaually if i lose the setting of a motor , what i do is back both needles three and a half to four turns out from the closed position and go from there, and just make sure the plug is good .
