Because it is new. It uses a whole new design crank shaft with more advanced timing. It uses a larger size crank, and all novarossi s3 rod sleeve and piston. With the more advanced crank timing and a better top end the motor will be faster.

the x-12t has 3 ports two. They make a 5 port version as well. If you live in the us you can get a much more motor for the same price if you opt to not get the novarossi. A moded MR-12 or MT-12 or V-12 will be much faster and cost about the same as the novarossi.

i have an X12T 5 port and its on its 6th tank and i can feel that this thing is going to be a rocket!!!!

the 3 port X12 that u r calling an X12T isnt called an X12T its just a plain X12 3 port with a turbo plug!!!

The 5 port X12T has the turbo crank and all that like the V12 with the advantage of having 5 ports

and if u dont believe me: http://www.rbproducts.com has the answers

RB, because it's made by Nova Rossi and is NOT imported by Trinity.

Look at the prices since Ernie got the Nova Rossi deal....

Novarossi and RB engines are both nova based motors. I've have both an S3 and Rody X12. They each have their own characteristic, but I have found that the Rb has more bottom end response than a nova. But they are both good engines and I think you would be happy with whatever one you choose.

Judging the engine performace by the number of ports is a sillyness. A good 3 port engine can spank a 5 ports engine.

3 and 5 ports .12 engines are quite similar, probably the 5 ports are a little more efficient with the fuel and have a little better low-end, but main power can be the same or almost the same.

V12 engines should be real good, as my previous RB engines got an excess of low-end and missed some high-rpm power V12 will rock as the same model from Nova.
