Pauli, I am interested in the conversion kit less the chassis. Do you still have it? Will you be at the GLC? If so, bring it there!

Hey Guys,

Got a few locals at my club makign a change for new year season, hows the Kyosho M3 with you all, currently i have been running Motonica P81, but find a fair bit of belt wear and rear end issues

How often or better yet hows the wear and tear? Also as we all have had, crash scene damage whats the worst, and what has been the best

Cheers
Frankie

I abslutely love my M3. I have had mine for two years. All of my rear end and 80% of the front end parts are original. Thats due to me having trouble in the sweeper. The belts seem to last a while. If you inspect the pullys after you run the car the belts could last a full season or more. The rear belt seems to not wear at all. Your side will be the first to go. The M3 is a tank out the box. Minor upgrades you may want but it's not needed. I have hit the wall at the end of the strait and it didn't break any thing. I have hit the wall a few times right on the front wheel and only broke the upper A arm. This is a solid chassis. I just converted mine to the evo. I will run it for the first time this weekend. Hopeing it will make me a little better at the end of the strait.

There is a reason this car won the last IFMAR WC, and it is more than just the driver. The previous post talked about durability, and it is true. My performance was greatly improved when puting this car on the track. Ran the EVO version some this year and didn't find much improvement over the original M3. Some top drivers feel the clutch is not the best, but I like it. Two speed on the EVO is an improvement. The EVO also allows a better mesh between pinions and spurs. Ran my car with short wheelbase both front and rear. Good luck.
