There is a large group of guys that race in San Fran. I am always sending them parts, so I suspect they race frequently.

Many people start with something like this:
front shocks 1000 wt. (diff oil)
rear shocks 80 wt.
yellow spring front 40740
white spring rear 40739
front camber 2 degrees
rear camber 3.5 degrees
front toe neg 1
rear toe 2
roll center inside upper front and rear
100,000 front diff.
30,000 rear diff.
7mm ride ht frnt.
8mm ride ht rear
front sway bar almost 90degrees
no sway bar rear
I ended up using this:
front shocks 1000 wt. (diff oil)
rear shocks 80 wt.
white spring front
red spring rear
front camber 2 degrees
rear camber 3 degrees
front toe neg 1
rear toe 2
roll center inside upper front and rear
100,000 front diff.
10,000 rear diff.
7mm ride ht frnt.
8mm ride ht rear
front sway bar 90degrees
rear sway bar 0degrees
In our track this gives me great steering and not too much body roll. If you need less steering go up in front diff oil, or if you need more then go down. I've also used 80wt. in front shocks (as it comes from the factory) with good results. The other advise I can give you is buy racing tires, I use Ipanema with great results. Another thing is the body, the Protoform works very well but the Warrior body from Ipanema gives you better performance with more downforce where you need it.

Has anyone heard any updates on ROAR setting up this class for rules. It has been an issue every time we go anywhere to race this class. No two tracks have the same rules and most of the rules in place are not good. I have yet to see any weight restrictions for these classes except here in Utah. The spec class has so many engine options it's crazy. I have been racing this class of car for six years now and still no set rules. Please step up roar and make this uniform for all of our sakes. We need rules in place to make this class grow. Belt drives, shaft drives , weight , engines, length, wing height, openings. Nothing has been set in stone and it's time.

However, for those of you that follow ROAR, you know that they tend to be a bit conservative as far as rules for their classes. Some of you that think that ROAR will be the answer could be disappointed because their rules could end up being more restrictive than the rules that we currently run under the Ipanema-sponsored races or your local race programs. So, be prepared when their rules hit the streets and don't be disappointed when some of what you thought they may allow to run or be used (equipment-wise or engine-wise) may not be allowed. Just some food for thought.

I posted that baby crying pic last night just kidding around for laughs,wasn't intended to bring out a psychotic reaction from you. Had a laugh with Steve about it and decided to remove it. (it is a funny picture)
I'm sure Roar will do a great job making new rules for GT classes, I think we should all give them time to figure it out and not rush the situation.
The GT rules we've been running aren't all that bad, just about everyone has had a lot of fun at our events, with the exception of a few crybabies that will also cry over Roar's rules too.
