3 to 4mm (.125" - .160") thick 7075 is what you want to use. www.onlinemetals.com is a good source for 7075 in small quantities. If you are interested in designing the part using free CAD software, and having the chassis cut out using a waterjet machine, the company I work at can help you out: www.emachineshop.com Download the free CAD software, design your chassis and get a free instant price quote online. Design it in 2D (meaning no countersink holes, no milled pockets, etc) so it can be cut on a waterjet and the pricing will be pretty reasonable. I can help you with your design if you get stuck. You won't have to order the material if we cut it - we have access to 7075 here. Good luck! Building your own chassis is cool. My GT car is a homemade one too!

Yes, we can bend and the software has a 'bend line' feature. If you have any questions you can email me at the shop, [email protected]

Like Josio showed my friend Alejandro has made a conversion for the Mugen Buggy. It is very competitive against any other chassis on the market. Let me know what you need and I can relay the message for you. It includes a CNC chassis as well as shock towers in aluminum 7075, every other part needed is readily available in any Hobby Shop.

Contact alejo here by pm or by email at [email protected] he has two available.
