Thanks, but there was also alot of luck involved in getting the podium too. During qualifying the mod cars were much faster than me and I figured I didn't stand a chance against them. All I wanted to do was try to run consistant and finish the race. Well during the main, one car ran out of gas, one did not start and two broke. Also, the track was very slick, the air temperature was only about 62 degrees and breezy. I think this helped to equalize the field a little too. If it had been warmer and the track had more grip I probably would have gotten blown away. Bottom line though was I had fun and didn't have to spend alot of money.

BTW... 3 days of racing in 2 classes at 301 for a total of $35 in track fees!!! Can't beat that!

You'll have to dig deep to find it, its well hidden and you'll need to be able to read japanese to find it.

Racing the GT cars is not as expensive as 200mm or 1/8 scale but everyone pays the same for race weekends away on the road.

Jeff,
Thanks, I was looking under the Kyosho Japan site but the english version, couldn't find it so I stopped searching. Yes, you are right, we all have to pay the same for race entry fees.

DJ,
Can you tell me your setup on the DM-1, 2 speed. I am out 6 1/2 turns on both bolts. If I go any further out with the socket head bolts start rubbing on the inner rim of 2nd speed holder. I need my car to shift sooner. I am running the DM-1 with a novarossi .21 RX21RR1N (dont know if that helps). Any suggestions?

on my two speed it is 4 turns in from the top of the shoe on each side. And you would start from the lowest part of the hole where the set screw goes in.

try using a heat gun to get the engine to about 180
make sure there are no leaks in the fuel system. and the fuel cap is shut all the way. Also leave your glow ignitor on the motor until you get it idling good

Default Carb settings on GT2

It appears, unlike the initial Infernos that were shipped, the carb settings shipping on the GT2s are random.

When I tried to start it up the first time, the RPMs were way up there (hopefully I didn't mess up the engine because of such). I haven't had time to figure it out and break it in since.

The instructions do state 3 turns (I believe) on the high-end mixture but I couldn't find anything in the instructions for low-end or idle.

Anyone have any suggestions for initial settings?

Default Try this

Set bottom to rich settings ,set hsn flush you may need raise idle because the bottom will be rich, get it running then start leaning the bottom alittle at time until you get a steady idle.My last gt i broke in by driving it at half throttle for about 4 1/2 tanks basicly like the you do the revo or t-maxx breakin this seems to work best for me.hope this helps.

Set it flush then lean it,you will hve to try an keep it running, give it short throttle bursts, start working with the bottom end first.
