Yeah, I was hoping that, too, but now the weather does not look very promising and am afraid that I won't be able to before spring 2009.

Default GTP 2 diffs and upgrades.

Has anybody tried smaller lighter diffs in their GTP2s. I can see a drop of at least 3 oz. with modern ring and pinions and current out drive cups. The odd bearing sizes are troublesome. Maybe I should just bail on it and get a DM1 spec. Kyosho is out of the question, no shops in my area will deal with the distribution setup they have.

Anybody in the US have a GT26 one way bearing. Kyosho's site had them backordered and several hobby stores. I can find them in the UK for more than twice the US price (don't you like our devalued dollars?).... anyway... I am out until I can get my hands on that oneway.

A LHS had one and it was sold before I got there (OK... I got there several weeks later)...

I just can't believe the mothership K is out....

BTW... the Paris GP Next month in Vegas was just picked up by OFNA as a sponsor.... This should be a fun event.

In a pinch you, you can press one out of a different brand car(done this with pull-starts before). Post the number on the bearing, and someone may point you to a compatible piece. If I get a chance, I'll pull my transmission, then check some 1/8th 2 speeds.

It is the same one-way as in the NTC3 two speed.

HF0612 INA VWX

I just didn't want to heat up the carrier 'cause I will probably burn myself.... and I hate when that happens.

Still can't believe the K store doesn't have it.

Is the IGT2 engine more powerful than the IGT engine?

We wish to congratulate Kyosho for an awesome debut of their new IGT2 race chassis.

Ipanema Racing’s Team Drivers Jeff Vargas & Tony Cabral won first and second place honors during the Florida State Series race # 2 last weekend, at the legendary “Fort Meyers” racing facility with our 55 shore pre-mounted radial slicks.

Default Congrats!

Props for the victory...for the tires and the chassis...but most of all for the driver! Did the longer chassis version race against short chassis cars or was there seperate classes?

Ipanema tires are RADIAL?

This is how I understand what radial is http://www.wisegeek.com/what-are-radial-tires.htm

Ipanema RC tires are just plain rubber tires, there are no layers of reinforcement hens called a "radial" tire.

The "KYOGT26" one ways are discontinued,The new replacement part for the one way,is part IG107 1st housing(infernoGT/GT26) and Kyosho America does have them in stock for $17.99.I ordered one about two weeks ago and thought they were backordered also. Then I called Kyosho America asking if they had any GT26 one ways available, thinking maybe they didn't update that part number on their website. And then they gave me that new part number telling me what I just told you.Hope this helps.
One more thing,if you need the 2-speed clutch, the "KYOGT24" part has changed also. The new part number is IG106 2-speed clutch set(infrenoGt/GT24).

Definitely, more power, more reliable... very reliable in fact as per my short testing

Also found out that ST-RR wide wheel hexes fit nicely at rear also with the Ferrari body.. worth testing with GT1

There definitely are reinforcement "belts" within the rubber of the Ipanema tire. Whether they are oriented as defined by a radial vs. bias ply or neither I dunno.
