Forgot to mention that was using the new GT2 gears for the first time; didn't have much time to adjust to car to the track (switchpoint, engine tuning) as we were driving to the opposite direction this time, but the car was as fast as the DM-1s on the main straight even with the stock GXR28 and also felt pretty good on other areas of the track. Just need a little bit more work on the car to be even faster. No stripped gears, around 2 hrs runtime. Can recommend!

Ok guys wanted to do a report on the weekend from our race here with the GT's at Greater LA club race

Sat. four of us manage to put in Sat. practice to get a feel for the track,PMT tires and our cars.

Roger(GTPII)Steve(SNR GTP)Dave S.(DM-1spec)and me DJ(DM-1spec)

it took about two laps for the tires to get into the track and man! my car was running real good made small changes to the car like ride height, camber front and rear, shock pre-load,and droop. Did not change springs from what I had from the start which were white in the front and red at the rear, I managed to put down a 17.5 lap during quals. in the 1st round. We ran open practice with sedans, 1/8th, and 1/5th scale rides and we put down good speed with the 1/5th scale cars we had no problems catching them but passing was another thing which Steve and I had way tooo much fun

Race day I managed to TQ but Steve won the race congrats, I broke when I blew out my clutch bearings and stripped my 1st gear, it was Rogers first time running on road nitro and wrenched to keep his car running but I can say he ran his pace to understand how the car feels, Dave put in good laps and put in wheel time to feel the car and Darrel came to race on Sun. and his was not to bad but it looked like it had a push issue but was happy the way it drove. But the PMT tires and the Protoform body makes for some good racing.

In two weeks the regionals and hoping to see more soo much fun to run these GT cars my on-road feeling is comming back.

yeah I might put in a 2K rear but it's working very well throught he corners on power, most corners I don't need to blip the throttle to keep the car from breaking loose.

here's my DM-1 I ran over the weekend at Greater LA, it's a little scuffed now but overall the body still looks good, too bad it can't look this good all the time before i race it.
