Dj, ask Jeffrey to let you try the tires he has. You may like them too!

Could you be more specific on the tires. I looked at the PMT tires and they make several different tires for 1/5th scale.

Do you guys have any practice days, or only "race" days?

Here's the page and I have 20/17 in the front and 10/17 for the rear, and they do have practice on Sat. race on Sun.

The Kronos model, cool. Are you mounting them up on your own rims or using the pre-mounted ones? How might you compare them to the Onfa slicks or treaded tires? I've been running the Ofna treaded tires up till now and just received a set of the slicks.

How well do they wear, say in terms of gallons or something? I realize that tire wear is strongly affected by the surface you run on.

Good to know. I'll check the Greater LA Club thread for more details on schedule etc.

PREmounted, and one of our guys put about 40 runs on them on that track that's a little abrasive, but I would like to try 30 front 20 rear for longer life.

i found the losi eight springs to be to soft for the car to handle right, my losi 8ight has a set of shocks from a turmoil with inferno gt springs and the car hanldes REAL good its real stable and turns on a dime.........besides that everything else is LOSI on the car exept i ripped the center diff off the car and installed a str8 shaft and a 36 tooth spur gear for a higher top end

Keep the rules simple such as spec engines (.28 Kyosho & Ofna engines only), pipe, gearing and tires. The cost control is the appeal of the class so let's not kill it like what we've seen in the pass with other classes.

My 2 cents...

After seeing the Losi and the new Protoform body, my IGT is going up for sale. I'm retiring my MBX5R from offroad and setting it up for street, I will use my WC for the fall racing season.
