RadioPost seems the way to go. Talked to Andy he says the same thing. Looks like I'll try to locate some at IGT Hobbies. Thanks fellow Racers.

Thumbs up

cool little convo going on Ill add what I run just for fun!

Servos - Savox 2274 Steering Savox 2271 Throttle
Lipo receiver pack
Airtronics M12
Sweep Racing Tires
Novarossi Motors - I run 8th buggy also so I rotate motors through both cars. Right now I am Running a Murnan Modified Roma .25 in the GT and a Murnan Modified CLIO P5 in the buggy. I also have a Murnan Modified Keep Off 4 and a Top Plus 4C. I don't put the Roma in the buggy but Ill rotate the rest of them through both chassis depending on track. Pipe is the 41019-C and Super Strong 9886, this is my go to combo for anything going into a GT. For ROAR events I like the Novarossi CLIO P5 its an animal!

That is not an issue with a nitro car. Especially with lipo receiver battery.

Hi All .....

While we're on the subject of equipment I have not seen many (Incl' myself) mention their radio system.

I am still running the old reliable M11 with the FHSS2 24GHZ system. Its cool and works well.
The only drawback I have felt .... and this is only since I have come back to the racing fraternity again, is that it's only designed to handle 6V. No real problem only I would like to run LiPo without the regulator.
LiFE battery would work as they are 6.6V but would prefere LiPo.

Do you all run Radio/ receiver equipment that can take 7/8.4V in your GT's?

Regards
BM

I'm running the MT-4 w/ telemetry myself. Able to run lipo's with all the newer Airtronics systems. Most everyone in GT is running systems with lipo's and bumping the output up to 7.4v for the servos.

I run either a 4PK or 3PM for the radio, but Fasst Receivers and they have had no issue with Lipo voltage. I did go to the high voltage servo's as I had issues with them. Part of the time I run LiFe which has less voltage and go to Lipo if needed.

I'm using the RadioPost tx. & rx's and just recently upgraded to Lipo tx. and rx. batteries, as well as servos. Had issues with alkaline and NiCad's.

I had a chance to get a KO EX-1 this weekend but I didn't have any spare change.

If you are talking about that KIY, its good that you didnt!! I had one for about a month, didnt like it at all, same features as the Helios but 200.00 more AND you can only use the high end RX's. Also felt very top heavy even with the bottom weight on it. Some love it though but i did not!
