We ran the alpha bodies like crazy in Utah last year and had zero issues. Regardless of the the body type if you cut it too close you are going to have hang up issues. Handling wise, look wise and availability wise the Alpha is the superior choice of the bodies I have tested. This year a few of us will be working on the Sweep body and I'm excited to see if we can match the performance of the Alpha R3. There is a reason you see almost everyone in GT using the R3, try it out if you haven't already.

Servo wise be careful using a 1268 if you are not at the 7.4V to get peak performance. Unfortunately a lot of us Utah guys got into them and learned our lessons at the big races. The Savox servo to get for GT is the 1283 if you are using NiMH batteries. Monster torque 400g+ and good speed. I use the 1283 for both throttle and steering. Yes it isn't needed for throttle but I had two so why not? Very happy with the 1283.

Its funny to see how many of the same body you can find from different manufacturers. See how many of the Mclarens you can find or even Corvettes. Nature of the beast I guess

I have to agree with Jerry on this...I bought one last year and found the body to be very flimsy and the production mold quality to be poor because you can see so many irregularities in the body...I remeber when the mold was being made in Brazil (saw pics) and looks like they rushed it out the box..lumps everywhere but I guess it worked out great for Alpha cuz they made a pile of $$$$$$$.....I will stay with my sturdy Ofna DMP7 (Mclaren) ...After I did a shoe goo front end it seems indesctructible....I'm about to try the OFNA CLK DTM BODY !! sexxxy....

Anybody tried the RB Rally engine? Very tempted (but for my buggy.. I don't race - I just like high-revving engines.. I figure my 1/7th DM-1 is too fat and heavy for it..)

Default First ROAR National Champion

As most of us GT racers know, ROAR finally came up with rules, not all agree with them but it is a great starting point. I asked and it has been confirmed by the race director and ROAR that GT8 will crown a national champion at Fort Meyers Florida October 29 - November 2.

So put it on your calendar.

Hey any of you GT guys got a car you would sell cheap? A friend took me to the onroad track today and he had a new koyosho gt2 man it looked good. Kinda caught my interest seemed like it lasted all day without breaking . Not something I was use to with my TC3 days. Again I just wanna give it a try it looked like fun.

Default Blitz 1/8 GT

I see the GT8 class is steadily growing. More companies are offering parts and bodies to offer variety to this growing class. The newest body is from blitz.
