Is the ipanema body allowed based on the IGT8F rules? It just says no wedge type Lola bodies...I believe the ipanema is no a Lola nor a wedge body... Am I right or wrong?

IGT8F has its own thread now on Rctech and its website www.IGT8F.com
to discuss such topic.

I still roll with the Kyosho GT cars (2 GT1s and 1 GT2). All of mine are basically box stock except the transmissions in all three (upgraded) and one of my GT1s has some Kyosho upgrades to it. The Kyosho is still a viable car with the right engine and setup.

A passionate debate is one thing, even heated disagreements can be tolerated. As long as they show some actual progress in moving the hobby forward. This thread turned into NOTHING productive a long time ago! You all need to take the next month and GO RACE.

If a month from now people can't use this thread to better the hobby it will be done for good, with permanent bans for all those involved!

Anyone with plans to use the new IGT8F thread to continue the BS had better think again! Stiff penalties will follow. If you don't like those rules simply choose not to support them!

Thank you racer1812 for removing the restrictions on this thread.
With the wealth of information it cotains, it would be missed.

BM

Me too dj ...
With this and the Team C thread. It's amazing the great ideas you can get from other races.
There are alot of good car builders on here.

Cutting down the "slop" in wheels and suspention and getting the cars down to minimum weight I feel are very important.

Regards
BM

I have a question about the long chassis and the short chasis. it seems to me the short chassis gets better tighter turns and more traction. the longer chassis seems to work a nice long stretches what's your opinion on it

In case anyone missed it ROAR GT8 rules, updated yesterday. I like most of it. Not happy with the no chassis kick-up, hopefully the class will grow enough where people more people start out buying a new GT8 instead of converting their off-road.

I have both the long and short chassis Kyosho cars and have run them extensively on all types of tracks around the US. I tend to run the long chassis on higher speed, open free-flowing tracks. The long chassis tends to be a bit more stable at high speeds over the short chassis. On small to medium size tracks with tighter turns or very technical, I lean more on the short chassis because it seems more nimble than the long chassis in these situations. At the Leisure Hours track, I have run both and tend to like the long chassis there.
