How does the .25 in the new ready set gt2 stack up to the .28 in the gt1 and .28 in the gt2? I'm thinking about picking one up to replace my stock gt1 motor. I would wanna do away with the pull start and use my starter box anybody know what back plate to put on there?

Honestly, you would be better off getting something like an OS .21vg or Werks B2/B5 before getting the new KE 25 from the newest version of the Kyosho GT2. We have three new parking lot bashers in Dallas that picked up the new Audi body version and all have had issues with the KE 25 that comes with the car. For the monies, their are plenty of better quality engines that you can buy and place in the car.

Take a look at the LRP .28! This is an excellent engine at a very affordable price. My GT2 turns faster laps with the LRP .28 ($175) than it does with a Rody Roem RB .21 engine that had been in my 1/8 car that cost over $500.

I have been running the LRP for 2.5 years and I have not had to replace anything in the engine. I removed the pull start and put a standard rear cover on the engine ($15).

Dude, Thanks! ive been wondering for years what that kyosho rally car was that I bought back in 1997 (left it with a friend in Cali when I moved to NYC in '98) They have one on ebay right now NIB for what I paid for it back then lol. That was 1 sweet rally car and if slammed to the ground was an ok street car.

Dude,

The main thing is that there are other good engine choices out their other than the stock RTR Kyosho engines. If you have a particular engine manufacturer that you are comfortable with, see if they make an engine that will fit your car and suit your needs. I would hate to see you waste monies on a Kyosho RTR engine that will fail early.

+1

Figure your price range for an engine and pipe/header, then if you have a manufacturer preference check out what they offer. All else fails, figure your budget then let us know and I'm sure we could give ya more than a few options to check into.

Default midwest series race 1 completed

Hi all, I just wanted to give a little report out on the midwest series race. Last year we had great turnout in gt class in the midwest series, and hopefully for the future races we will have more. The first race in toledo went very well, even though we only had about 4 gt racers. We ended up running with the new pan car class and combined the two for this race, while I don't think this is going to be the norm it was fine for this event. While the pan cars are a lot lighter, their engines were not as strong so they pretty much evened out on the straight away, the pan cars could corner slightly better, but since they don't have full suspensions I think it evend it out a little there as well. I was running a full gt car and ended up battling with on of the pan cars and we had multiple possition changes during the race, it was really a good race until the pan car lost a tie rod and was out for a few laps, i managed to take the win and we all left the stand with smiles on our faces. The next race is in Portage and I hope to see more GT guys racing.
