Could I just go up +1 on the SG's, or would the difference not be enough? Stock, the DM-1 has 16-20 on the CB, and 44-48 SG's.. With this gearing you need a long-axx way to hit top-speed.

So, should I go up on the SG's, or down to say 15-19 on the CB?
I would try 45,49 on the spur gears since they are cheaper than the clutch bell gears. Try this with the stock 16,20 bell it should give better acceleration. Nitro house has most of the stuff but shipping is a little high for small part though. Good luck

Hello from France,

our sucessfull Rally-Game Challenge is on the for 4th time in the winter season.

Sucessfull because controlled tyres in hard compound rubber are included in the registration.
All drivers are runnig the same set of tyres during the race day!!!
And every year, we improve the rules.
This year, we decided to only allow real car bodies from our main sponsor:

Subau Impreza
Porsche 911 GT3
Mercedes CLK DTM
BMW M3
Peugeot 205 T16
Lancia DELTA
Seat CORDOBA

With these rules, no need of big engines or lastest chassis development because of the grip of the tyres the NO-downforce of the body...

I think, you're going the wrong way with wide tyres and race bodies...
That's why rally game in Italy and Spain is dying...

Au revoir.

Hello from france MikaR,

Rally Game (european term) or GT (US term) are the same for me.

Here's a short video of one of the last year round.
It was the first laps of the A-main.

You can see:
- the black/pink car is an OFNA Ultra GTP 2 Brushless with Protoform PF8
- the white/blue car is a Hobao Hyper 9 with Fiat 500
- the white/yellow car is a schepis MZ2 (belt car) with an Audi A4

Au revoir.

Thats awesome! I take it the body sponsor is DeltaPlastik. We sell a lot of their bodies, lots to choose from.

That Fiat 500 looks badass, and seems to have no trouble going down the straight at fast speeds.

I respectfully disagree on your opinions of Rally Game & GT being the same.

They’re close yes, but our GT events are typically held on larger tracks with full length straight sections left intact. Thus, our style of GT race cars realize some very high track speeds.

GT racing a single speed set-up is possible, but it would put much strain on nitro engines to carry the higher top speeds we do experience on the bigger tracks.

Site for our 2012 GT World Championships.

One could gear a single speed Rally Game car to achieve the top speeds found in GT racing, but the trade off would be much slower infield acceleration as a result.

Your French version of Rally game is similar to GT on smaller tighter layouts, but would prove very different on the larger and higher speed open tracks we’ve grown accustomed to with our 2-speed GT nitro cars.

Cool little video clip, thanks for sharing!

VERY nice! You're lucky to have these Rally series in your country!

I'm with Jeff - rally and GT aren't exactly the same. Both very nice though!
