Not exactly GT, but I gotta say rallying looks pretty much fun to me, too!

Check out the gallery, it has 400 pics over there
http://www.rcbazar.com/2011album/201.../DSC_1127.html

Belt rally GT cars are absolutely great. Belts last 10x longer than 1:8 onroad cars like Mugen if you didn't know, people are always oversceptic to this matter

Maybe I need to start planning a trip to Italy next year to race

Please don't get me wrong, shaft GTs with 2-speed transmissions are cool, too

Mika, you are absolutely right about the belt driven GT's, ive been jonesing for one since I saw your BMT and got even more excited once i saw and heard you and spooky modded a two speed in them. Unfortunately, due to my upcoming tuition expenses I have to put buying the car after this season but this gives me the opportunity to research belt driven GT's and now i am left with 4 choices (fastrace gt-r10, blade racing rx1, technokit spry, and the bmt) they are all two speed capable with either kyosho or serpent tranny.

We recently added the BMT to our site. We will be adding parts soon.

I don't mind being stalked

Yes, education is way more important than toy cars.

Default Losi GTP

I have a Losi 8ight 1.0 that I converted to a GTP car with the help of parts from the Losi L 8ight, on road slicks, and protoform body. I then converted it to brushless with a mamba 2650 combo. Guys at my local track (FBF) run a very popular nitro GTP class. I wanna play!.

My question is. Is there a way to convert this car into a two speed, using Nitro? I asked some of the local fast guys and the info is on the fence. I still have all the original nitro pieces. Motor, pipe mounts, and chassis pieces. I don't wanna scrap the car, and I'm kinda spread thin budget wise. Anybody done this? Please provide a parts list. Or pics. Thx!

Golden horizons makes aluminum diff cases for the savage that should fit the IGT, part #GHH02094P.

I also use the hardened savage bevel gears in all of my vehicles, they're super strong. I've had diffs run dry and they were still perfect!!

Keep the plastic housings, just ditch the factory self tapping thread screws for machine thread screws. I had this problem repeatedly. Try to find some machine screws that are a couple mm's longer than the original screws. After I did this I can go an entire season on the same Kyosho bevel gears.

I tried machine screws with some success but what has worked best for me is to replace the Diff Housing every time I take the diff apart.
