yea still running the savage still in full race trim. Retired the R40 at the end of last season only comes out now for fun runs.
The Boyz are still around although everyone is busy with other things life tends to do that. will pass along your message.

This season I'm going full out on the IGT looking forward to the spec class racing this year, winning comes down to setup and skill bankroll will have very lil to do with winning really levels the playing field.
If they don't get enough guys for a spec class I still have a brand new picco .26 to blast down the back straight that thing has enough power to push my savage towards the 55 MPH mark the IGT should be no problem since it's about 8 pounds lighter then the savage.

the difference in length between original MP7.5 front universals and the Kanai version (later 777) is not much. I think in the Kanai original uni's were installed at rear and new front uni's were used in combination with new caster blocks and front upper arms. However, these are not needed with IGT since onroad cars usually benefit less caster so the stock 17deg is fine, of course universals are an improvement, either these or the new lightweight ones. Here's a pic of the difference, however (original MP7.5 front universal on left, Kanai on the right)



I did the bearing mod for the 2-gear, it is a 6x12x4 bearing. I'm not sure if this actually improve anything

The bearings in the second gear & brakes were the 1st thing I did to mine.

The first thing I did to mine was machine some Zero degree castor "C" hubs and machine a aluminum solid spool for the front.

Interesting. Where did you get those caster blocks?

Solid spool sounds also good...
You know, have BBF tactyl diffs in my offroader, going to test them in my IGT in the summer, too. Do you think these advanced limited slip diffs would actually work in an onroad car? They definitely work on loose conditions.. I have the feeling guys in the south (of Europe) are using these in their rally games..though it's a bit difficult to find any good info in the web.

Have you tested the aluminum spool how long will it going to last for long hour runs.
Do you plan on making steel spool too?

We get about 4 gallons of gas out of the ultra-liteweight spools in the x-ray for the un-anodized ones and longer than that for the anodized ones.

The IGT spool has replaceable outdrives so all you have to do is replace the outdrives.

these look like they would work at 100mm they are only 4mm bigger
than stock and are readily availble and cheap to boot

The “Legends vs.Young Guns of IRL” event at the Hard Rock Casino was a lot of fun.

Ryan Hunter, Al Unser Jr., Arie Luyendyk Jr., Johnny Rutherford, A.J Foyt IV and
the beautiful Danica Patrick raced Kyosho Inferno GT cars against each other!

Each driver’s car was painted by Ronnie Setser to match their INDY paint schemes. They crashed, rolled, flipped, cart wheeled and kept on going strong. Several local television & radio celebrites also had the opportunity to drive the IGT cars.

In the end, they all had a great R/C experience with the Kyosho Inferno GT cars!
