Since you offered Spooky, I do have an Alpha body that needs to be painted

Do you guys have anything to add towards this discussion of set-up to help the guys asking questions about it?

Thanks Mike! you are absolutely right about that! Driving style does determine set up!

I'm going to take some pics of the set up station I use for my gts and how I measure the droop as I use a rim instead of blocks.

Victor! Thank you so much for the shirt man, you don't know how much it means! hey to get you in the information sharing here. How do you guys set up your cars for the rain? I mean how do you protect electronics? I seen on your forum a guy selling his services for prepering cars against water damage. I can imagine you would have to clean and oil the bearing after the race

For all you IGT guys. Has anyone switched the servo saver around so that you can run the steering linkage on the outside?

Sorry for pestering, but I'd like to ask one more time about engines..

I have a NIB Jammin JPX 21 and a brand-new Losi 454 with closed backplate, but think I would prefer an OS 25XZ.. I might also pick up a Werks B5 just because the exchange rate is in my favor and I'm a sucker for a deal.. How would those four engines compare? Even with an old, fairly mild Mach 427 I'm already quickly discovering that it's all about tires.., and am at the limits of grip.. Nevertheless, I have a second DM-1 Spec version to go along with my 1/7, and I think this year, instead of selling the Spec and getting a buggy, I'm going to just keep and pimp out the second DM-1... Just really wavering about the Jammin JPX 21 whether it'll have enough grunt on the one hand(and be painless to break in and tune..), and that the LRP will drink too much fuel on the other... Not looking for massive power drifting, but for good solid power and more top end than I currently have with my (trusty ole'..) Mach...

Bolt that JPX.21 in it. It will have all the low-end torque with
top end revs that you can use and then some. My JPX.21, that
Maximo(Neal) at CRE modded for me, is one mean s.o.b. in my
DM-1 Pro. The JPX engines are Picco based and have some of
the best crankshafts and con rods there is. Run times aren't that
bad either, not near as thirsty as the RB 928 that I run in one of my
other DM-1s.
As far as that SH (Losi454) engine goes, use it for bashing in
one of your LSTs.

I'm running the Werks B5 in mine. With the proper gearing for your track it's a great motor. Tunes easy and has both the low end torque and the high revs that you need. I'm running an 086 pipe with it.

i agree with you on JPX.21... the powerband on the jammin's is cosistant & as for Maximos work just look him up on youtube you see one of his modded JPX.21 on a DM-1 its a beast.....the only thing you need is a good pipe like the JP-2 or 3

here a video on the JPX.21 i like part @ 1:30

My DM-1 is going to have a modified OS 25 this time around...Snow is melting and it wont be long till I am tearing up some asphalt....I think the mod OS 25 will be perfect...it has killer torque and unlike other big engines the ability to rev to 40K and still make power.......I am going to gear my DM-1 down a bit, I see no need to have a 70 MPH car, I just can't seem to find a big enough space to ever open it up...What gearing are you guys running in the DM-1's ?

Yea, you definitely need some room to see what that car
was intended for. Just frying the tires off of it ,in drag
mode, gets boring and is hard on the wallet as far as
tires go. You also need to find a body that will hold
your car down on the pavement. Seems that the CRE
powerplants like to turn DM-1s into aircrafts when they
just start pullin those upper rpm's.
