I want to thank Zootcapri for selling me his used stock engine which has me up and running again. But, just to feel a bit more comfortable, if there is anyone that has a slightly used stock engine (one gallon or less of fuel through it) that they are no longer using from their IGT car, I am in need of a backup engine just in case I jack this one up (I will be using 20% in this one this time!!!). Let me know what you have and how much you are wanting out of the engine dollar-wise.

If you can get Werks Racing 16% fuel in your area you should try it.

Great lubrication, power & run time.

Twister just barely imported the tires, but the guys in Italy and Spain claim they are the best available. Check these out, 45 and 55 shore however they're measuring it.

I have been running a tire that looks a lot like that. The sidewall says SP Racing. It was from Italy. I just bought a set of mediums but had to bring them in from England. I got great traction and a year and a half from the original set. I hope this is the tire that Twister is bringing in. Though the ones that I have had a BBS type spoke rather than the dish.

Which tire is “best” is really subjective to many variables and what the specific needs of the IGT racer are.

You have to consider: what you’re looking for, track surface conditions, available traction, set-up, cost, availability and the specific tire being required for use as the “Spec” tire by the event organizer or sanctioning body.

In all fairness to the Kyosho V-Slick, Twister/ATS & Medial Pro tires, they all work very well and have their strong points. I’ve found that on any given day, any of them can get my car on the podium.

The Twister/ATS & Medial Pro tires are pre-mounted, offer long life and real good traction, but don’t count out the Kyosho V-Slicks. They may not be pre-mounts, but with the right track conditions & set-up, they’re real fast. I’m also looking forward to trying out the PMT tires too.

Wish I could give a “clear-cut” answer to “which tire is better”, but truth be told, I have at least 1 set of each in my arsenal. Sometimes I try a different brand for each qualifier and pick the winner for the day; while other times I “chase” track conditions with the same set.

If you can, get a set of each and you’ll have more tuning options available.

See ya at the races.

Word on the street is Mike Myers will be covering the 2008 US Open Sedan Championships at Kraceway in a few weeks.

Should get some great IGT race action pics from the event!

To confirm what I had said earlier regarding the Ferrari body. I was at Kyosho America yesterday and they recently got a shipment of painted Ferrari bodies in. I saw them with my own eyes. Richey, who is a dealer, made a purchase for his sale inventory which is why he is soliciting emails. He has the body in stock and ready to go. Kyosho America also has supply of the bodies in stock.

I did not buy an IGT kit. A lot of sedan tires, but no kits.
