It is an indoor electric carpet race being held at the Mikes Hobby Shop in Carrollton, TX (the place I normally work at on weekends). Qualifying for this race will start around 7pm with their mains being run Sunday morning/afternoon.

Ok cool. I just had that clutch from off-road. I also have the mugen clutches but they are from the MRX4. Will that clutch work?

The centax clutch from the MRX4 is not legal. The Mugen clutches I was referring to was from the MBX5/MBX6 offroad buggy/truggy. You can use the HPI Savage flywheel/clutch shoes/springs as well. Basically, any offroad clutch that is not centax in style or nature.

Default Shocks

What do you guys do about springs and shock oil. Those black springs seem kind of firm to run all the way round and that's all I have right now. Where can I find some springs for this Kyosho GT?

On both of my GT cars, I am using the stock shocks/springs as is. I changed the shock oil to either 50wt or 60wt all the way around for my setup/driving style. It has been working for me. As far as obtaining the springs, see if you can get Jeremy to special order them for you through the store. Give your local shop some love when and if you can, especially for providing a world-class track and facilities.

In my car I run Serpent 50 weight shock oil (this is the heaviest oil in the Serpent line and very very heavy - Don't let the #50 mislead you) and the black springs because I have not found anything heavier to replace them with.

I think you will find that you do not want or need much suspension movement to have a quick reacting predictable handling Kyosho GT car.

Losi if you're running electric. Ask Serpent.

They have been shipped and are on the way to me now. I may get them Saturday but it will probably be Monday before they come in.

I think that they are going to sell out quickly so don't wait long to get an order in.

Yes there is still OFNA and Kyosho. I think that the Serpent Diff ratio (4.3:1)was messing up their overall design so they are working on a solution. I'm sure that it will be very good when it comes out. That's why I'm not using my SC8 as a GT, the diff ratio is killing me. I already have the 2 speed mounted but the diffs have me . If it is a very small track it would be awsome but our track is not small.
