I have to admit I don't see a lot point to those cars at least here in USA because we've got the buggy-based platforms to act as a " onroad GT" class and we've got the traditional 1/8th onroad platforms as well.

Those chassis's in the link blur the distinctions between an onroad GT class and the 1/8th onroad class. If they were allowed to race against GT's, you'd next get people just putting a sedan body on an Evolva or MRX-4 and calling it a GT.

Interesting nonetheless!

I guess that is why EVERYONE who has created rules for this class states:

"1/8th Buggy based chassis"

I actually ordered the McLaren body from three different online shops and all of them regretted to inform me that they were discontinued.

The Rally Game cars have been around much longer than the IGT cars.

Thought about that myself, but the process seems a little more than I want to deal with right now.

I spoke face to face with Steve Pond of Kyosho today and the Ferrari body is not discontinued. It is well backordered, but not discontinued. They did not lost the license to make the body. They did lose the license to make the mini-z ferrari, but not the IGT body.

Thanks for the clarification. Well, that means that the LHS I bought my car from got his information wrong (which is what I have been reporting). I want to apologize to all for the mis-information that I have put out there via what I kept hearing from LHS where I purchased my IGT car(which is why I don't frequent that one anymore; too much mis-information being fed to us).
