This is a good reason why 'kit engine' rules are not a good idea.

I saw at Larry's Performance RC's .27 Power racing engines for 69 bucks each. Basher's mostly use them and they say there hasn't been too many problems reported back to them so far. For 69 bucks its worth a try. Has anyone out there tried these motors?

A few more hot laps from the spectator pov. It's a little rough... I guess I need to spend more than $750 to get great video. You can see the camera mount coming out of the rear window of the car.

I heard today that the Ferrari has gone away and the Aston is next...

I also heard that this is because we can get clear bodies and paint non-Ferrari color schemes and Ferrari doesn't like that.... Wow...

Good thing Dodge and Mazda don't think that way in 1/10th or I would be scr... err... in trouble....

Zootcapri,

Thank you for the engine yesterday. You were a life saver. Installed it in the car, put it on the starter box and it fired right up. After a little bit of retuning for 20%, it is just humming along. I put an extra head shim in just for safety sake. I appreciate the quick response to my SOS for an engine. Now, I am awaiting the ones from Arboleda so that I can have a backup (in case I accidently blow this on up!). Good luck in your current travels and I hope to meet up with you again when I come out to Vegas.

I am the body source informer. I found out about the Ferrari discontinue when I tried to order another one through my LHS. There is a rumor that the Aston Martin body may be discontinued for the same reasons: loss of licensing. Ferrari pulled their license from Kyosho so they now cannot produce the Ferrari body; the reason for doing this is unknown to me at this time.

I will see if I can confirm your body info. I will see the Kyosho team manager later today and ask him. He may not know anything, but then again he just might.

I am running an OFNA McLaren body on my IGT car. It fits perfectly, wheel wells and all. I wished I would have taken pics of my before I scuffed it up this past weekend (when the body was perfect).

Just checked Kyosho America's website and all reference to the Ferrari body, both clear and painted, and the Ferrari kit has been pulled. The Aston Martin stuff is still there.
