The DM-1 uses the same diffs and the same diff cases as the X-1 buggy so you can order the shock towers made for the DM-1 with no problems. I have the towers from maxvelocityracing.com. Great owner and great products. I would use front shocks in the rear. Big bores are not necesary but if thats the only ones you got don't worry I don't think it will bother you.
For the guy that is looking for advice on buying a RTR the OFNA in RTR trim is a better car but both the Kyosho and the DM-1 Spec are preaty even in overall performance. When I say to go with the OFNA I mean as a RTR, since both have a few attention points to look out for. The K car has trouble with the tranny (this has been addressed but I don't know first hand if the problem persists). The OFNA has weak lower arm mounts but the aftermarket has the solution, again maxvelocityracing.com has what you need.

Corvette: To Wing or not to Wing
I run on a pretty big split level parking lot, topping out around 60-63 on the front straight.. Im debating if i will be beneficial to use the win on my corvette Looks cool with or without it but concerned about aerodynamic drag for top speed and/or losing the downforce that it gives for handling
Thoughts???

Cant vouch for the dm-1 but the GT2 is a beast! Very very durable.. Except i hear the stock 2-speed is bunk (i run center diff) As faras bodies there are about 5 to choose from or 6-7 if you consider dirt oval bodie.. Again not sure how many you can get for the dm-1?
Also the GT2 is lighter yet bigger and more scale looking to me..

Timmo i forgot to mention that mines electric *cough*cough* that will probably help you figure out how i got there lol.. Well the speed quest is on hold for me right now, boss has the record at 91!
Our track is pretty cool and big though, so its alot about mph on the straight! I plan on making a youtube video this next week of us pounding it out
