Not upset at all. It is just that there are some out there that like to "muddy the waters" about the spec class of GT racing. All engines, regardless of price, mods, etc are legal for the open class. So, if you have engine X, Y, or whatever, you can still run it but just in the open class.

We here in Utah run a spec and open class. The only spec alternate engine we allow is the Axial .28 S2. It is cheap and has excellent power. We must weigh in at no less than 3450 grams for spec. We use the GRP " B " compound tire. This is more true to spec racing. As in Mexico, you can eliminate all the engine debate by doing this. Try this and all the smack will go away.

Wow, that is light for these cars. Does anyone get close to the limit?

+ 1..

throw those bushings away immediately.. the fact that Kyosho even shipped these cars with bushings on the 2nd spur is just plain nuts

They did it to mainly keep the cost down. Look at the brass bushings, Tx-Rx-servos, turnbuckles, and linkages that they put on the car. If they put top quality stuff on the initial car, would you have paid $800+ for this RTR kit?

Your argument stands valid when talking about, the design of the 2 speed, turnbuckles / linkage, tx-rx servos, even the motor. But the bushings? Sorry but thats simply Kyosho's idiosyncrasies.

They fitted the entire car with ball bearings and chose to put bushings on the 2nd spur to keep the "cost" down?? LOL.

So the additional $5 for the two bearings would price the IGT right out of the market and make everyone run to buy Ofnas? (by the way, that $5 is what I would have to pay for 6x12x4 bearings, kyosho would probably pay half or a quarter of that)
