Tough decision for the midwest series director, spec class or any buggy based chassis converted to a sedan. Engine rules or claiming rule. Leisure has a spec class that didn't come together last year. And I hear cincinnati lets the ofna's and IGT's run together. Personally I hate RTR's (Igt)much prefer an ARR version(OFNA). Seems like a waste of money tossing the TX & RX & servos from an RTR. Really I would like to see if I can convert my mugen X5.

X Scale On-road
I'm going to run at some of the midwest and Cincinnati races this year in the large scale onroad class. I have always run 1/10 touring and still will, but the large scale realism with rubber tires just looks like a lot of fun.
At our local hobby shop track we have decided to run this class and try it out for the year. Rules are simple: rubber tires, $200.00 motor limit with most everyone so far choosing the Ofna DM-1 chassis. Other chassis will be allowed, but eight racers have already chosen the DM-1.
I think this will be a lot of fun this year. Here's my car.

Fastracer, cool looking body!!
Winner's circle, I heard 50K (front) 10K (rear) are good ones.

I have 50K in the rear and 7k in the front in my GTPII. Sorta like the 1/10 scale.

I hope these cars will have there own practice sessions during MWS weekends. Or seperate 1/8 and 1/10 and run the gt's and 1/10ths together.

I just got my Inferno GT today, now i'm just waiting on my radio. what weight shock & Diff oils are you guys using?
#360
Diff oils in the front are 50K & up and rear diffs are 10K to 30K in most cars.
We're racing with sway bars and the Kyosho 55 shore V-slick rubber tires. IGT Spec class racing is a lot of fun.
If you haven't seen the video yet, here it is again.
