Well I was trying different things got a few good laps but i'm a little of the pace. All I managed to do where some 25 sec. Laps but most where high 26 and 27s. At least I didn't break anything. I was having a hard time getting the balance of rear to front grip. Hopefully tomorow the changes made today can help me get into the lower numbers consistently.

Great pictures Doug! I hope you guys get a big group shot before everyone tears up their rigs. That would be impressive with all those big rigs grouped together. Get a shot of Jeff too. I hope you're able to fix the Live RC thing so I can watch tomorrow. Good luck to all my friends including Jeff and Victor and his crew from Mexico!

Thanks for all of the photos!! The weather looks awesome for racing! The facility looks even better. Good luck everyone and have fun! Just remember a bad day at the track is better than the best day at work, considering that is where I am now......

Default Ipanema Sports 1/8 GT WC after 3 rounds

I am trying to do this from the track, so I hope everything works OK. This is the standings order for each class after 3 rounds of qualifying. A resort is taking place now and round 4 will begin in about 30 minutes.

thanks to those that posted the qualifying positions through the first few rounds and those pictures of the facility look great.

I'm also looking forward to watching tomorrow on Liverc. The guys from my neck of the woods (Utah) are doing great so far. Keep up the good work Gus and Andy

Default Overall results after 4 rounds Ipanema 1/8 GT WS

These are the overall standings after 4 rounds of qualifying. There will be a fifth round on Sunday morning, then we will go into the finals.

Sorry, I can not post pictures from the track. I have some from the group pictures this morning, maybe tonight, I can post some pictures if I do not get home too late.

Default Group photos @ 1/8 GT WC

Below are some pictures taken during the group photo session at the Ipanema 1/8 GT WC. Hopefully some of the others will publish and share their their pictures as well.

Today's racing was great as the cars and drivers kept getting better as the day went on. Sunday should be awesome with one final round of qualifying and then to what everyone came for which are the main finals.

Since I'm new at the GT class, who makes the full dished wheels I see in this pic?

Doug, thanks for more pics!

Man, I was snake-bit again early with a bad run my first qualifier. Hit a board and my pipe popped off. But, I was able to recover my second qualifier and found a groove my third and fourth qualifier. I am currently right in the middle of the pack with one more slim chance to get to the A-main without having to bump-up from the lower mains.

I will say that the guys that are here are the greatest. I have met many and it is nice to put real names and faces to the screen names on the forum. I will say the guys from Mexico and South America are sum-kind-of-fast!!! I tip my hat to them because they have this GT thing down pat!!!
