And what upgrade parts are needed and nice to have, Kyosho or other brands out there?

Will use the current engine and pipe for the meantime until then.

Thanks in advance for the help and info.

I just got the same kit 2wks. ago. First thing change tires. 2nd change : change the 2nd gear to new part IG110B or change whole tranny to aftermarket. Then slowly change other items as you start racing. 'ol skool RRR

Thanks for the reply Pit-racer. I was wondering when someone would respond to my post. I also posted the same in the Kyosho Inferno GT forums and no one has responded yet.

How about the the steering and brake linkages? Any advice with that area? I'm planning to change the 2nd gear as you mentioned after breaking in the motor and also updating the servos. I read that Kyosho came out with an updated 2 speed tranny for the gt cars, will look into that as well.

Any more additional info/tips from anyone would be very helpful and appreciated.

Jun I would change the transmision to the Ipanema one. The breaks people change them to the ones from the truggy. Also most the tires need to go, Ipanema has the best tires that I have tried so it is a sure thing to go with them for that as well.

>>How about the the steering and brake linkages?

Replace the z-link by a Kyosho steering rod/turnbuckle for MP777, for example

Brake is ok without mods

I'm at Homestead Raceway. Drivers from all over are starting to show up and check out the track. I've spoken to racers from as far away as Utah, Illinois, Maryland, Peru and Chile so far. This is going to be fantastic!
