Important thing, my wife and kids are good, kids playing on the park as nothing happened.

My parents city was the center of disaster, 500km from mine and they are all ok just same damage as mine in stuff inside the house.

Thanks for all your messages and emails, this was HARD HIT for the country .. hope we can recover fast ...

How are you holding up since it has been a few days. I can't even start to think what it must be like to go through that! Good Luck!!

So far ... so so.

In my city (capitol), its all almost OK. Lots of replica of earthquacke up to 6 degrees richter still going on during the day. Some areas of the city with some riots and violence, on the poor side of town and in some cases affecting good areas. Its amazing as a disaster change people lifes, Chile its a very good country, low in violence, very secure, but now we have a period of "jungle" life.

In the center of the disaster city, all its different ... you can check this pics ... check the one with the boat in the middle of the grass, that place its near my born town, and its about 2 1/2 kilometers from beach to that place :

For those who were asking about it. The carbon fiber chassis for the 1/7 scale OFNA DM-1 are now available at www.maxvelocityracing.com.

Just a question, even when my concern still its heat dissipation, i would love to give the chassis a try, how is the area where the engine its bolted ?,. any special reinforcement or metal plaque ?

thanks

Yes there are seperate engine mounts that are included that distribute the engine load along the length of the chassis.

The chassis is very rugged and it can easily handle the racing environment. Electric cars are all carbon and they arguably can go faster than nitro.

Tabushi,

We completely understand. In the scope of things, r/c is the lowest on that list right now. Godspeed to you and hope that things will be back on even keel with you, your family, and the rest of the citizens of Chile'.

Juan

PS:
I have been through some earthquakes as a young kid when my folks lived in Southern Cal in the 1970s. I personally know exactly where you are coming from. Just keep us updated on what is going on there with you. Just keep staying strong, standing tall, and keeping the faith.
