For the tyres, we raced controlled tyres in hard compound from this manufacturer.
And we discover that if we put the tyres in the wrong way, tyres warmed up faster and gives more grip along the 30mn final!!!!

Au revoir

It would appear that it does not have a 2 speed. Or has someone figured out how to fit a 2 speed in a Losi?

Hello from France,

in Europe, we don't race gearbox (its usually forbidden, we just permit when the car is provided with a pul start engine), because we run big engines.
We don't have rules with stock engines.
You need a gearbox when using a 3 ports pull starter engine, with long straight and cars above 3kg500!!

Au revoir

.... yea but, if your car ran a 2 speed transmission with your big engine, I bet you'd crush all the single speed cars on the track.

The standard Black Hawk transmission gearing are:
16/20 or 17/21 Clutch bell gears
48/44 Spur gears

There's also several other combos to dial in to different track sizes and surface conditions that us "GT" racers can use to get max track performance.

Rally Game = 1speed
GT Class = 2 speeds

I expect we will see some really insane fast GT cars at the Ipanema Sports 2010 GT World Championships.

Here "In Europe" means southern and maybe central countries (like Germany), in the North the rules are however similar to the rules in the States. Jeff knows that well, right Jeff ;-)

Timmo,

I wonder who was driving it, maybe we'll see him at Homestead.....

Patricio,

You ask that question like every two weeks, what's up with that?

Just check the wheelbase.

Pato, these are the wheelbase numbers

DM1 = 377.77mm
GT2 = 360.00mm

So maybe with a good average positioning of GT2 bodies, you can cut the wheel arcs to fit your DM1.

Many thanks Jeff, but it looks like not being able to.

Otherwise not much, occasionally running indoors my TF-5 and Lazer.

It looks like you are going have a blast in the worlds 1st GT WC race. Thumbs up & good luck to everyone

Weird but if that works for you great.... Sounds like slicks would be more like what you need, much more surface contact but I am sure you know that. Ipanema slicks work great maybe try a set of them? Winners circle in the USA will ship them most places. Car looks great hope to see some of these at Miami in march
