I recently purchased a Inferno GT2 and IPanema 35 shore tires.Love the GT class because of the size and type of bodies you can run.Was thinking about racing at Blue Diamond track this weekend AUG 30, weathers not looking so good though but Im still thinking about going to get some practice in. Anybody else trying to go! And these cars may be buggy based but they will run like real race cars when we get finished with them.:

It would be great to see this car featured instead of scoffed at. We have been racing them for 4 years now, and the first couple of years it was scorn from everywhere about how it wasn't a real race car and it wasn't worth investing in. Now it is one of our biggest classes, and I have personally put mine on the track with the best 10th nitro cars and drivers around here and beat them.

This seems to be the same problem on a national level.

We GT racers just need to work and attend events that only feature our cars.

The GT Championships event at Kissimmee next March 2010 will change the way people look at us all.

Should have the info by next weekend, sponsors and getting on board.

Jeff, i know you are working a lot around this event. Would be great if you get a crew to make a DVD out of the event ... that would be great to show the class worldwide,

'Beat them'??

Are you sure that you didn't just punt them off the track??

I thought I would share some break in experience from yesterday with 2 current production GT2s. Both cars were purchased about 2 months ago (no, I guess we really weren't in any hurry to run them! ) and we got started breaking them in yesterday.

Both cars were VERY lean on the low end mixture - and I'm not talkin' a little bit - I'm talking a bunch. To the extent that to get them to run they needed to be screwed OUT to above flush with the housing. It took a bit to figure out so I thought that it might be a good idea to post here and try to help some others out!

When we started the 2nd car - with the low end needle out as I mentioned - it started right up and was easy to get to idle! And break in went smoothly from there!

So, the bottom line - make sure that the low end mixture screw is turned out to flush or a turn or so out from flush before trying to start this engine!

And we're one step closer to having them on the track!

For the GT Spec class these engines fit into the spirit of the $200 price range. None can be internally modified for racing in the Spec class during the event.

Kyosho: GXR28SG
Kyosho: GXR28 (KYO74025)
Dynamite: .28 (DYN0890)
Dynamite: Mach 2 Monster .28 (DYN0992)
Ofna: .28 Force (OFN52217)
Axial: .28 RR (AX0330)
Axial: .28 Spec (AX001)
Axial: .28 Spec (AX002)
Ofna: Hyper .28 (OFN 53220)
LRP Z.28 Spec 3 (LRP32802)
Sportwerks M26

There’s a few to choose from, good luck!

Jspeed,

Got a question for you. I currently have a Sportwerks M26 pullstart in my IGT1. Would I have to change this engine out for one on your list for Spec-class racing?
