Default GT2 3 shoe set up

Hey guys, On another topic looking to convert my GT2 to a non pull engine and 3 shoe clutch set up. I installed the IFW110 flywheel but cannot get this to work. Using the GT2 clutch bell as well. When I install the outside screw with the retaining nut, it is too tight. What am I missing here? Plus the outside bearing is not even touching the SG shaft. Any help or comments please? Thanks.

Just wanted to let you guys know you can get all carbon fiber parts for the OFNA and Inferno at www.maxvelocityracing.com.

If you want to stand up the front and rear shocks or stand up the servos or just make your car lighter to increase the power to weight ration you can find them there.

Cheers

I just bought the set of Max Velocity carbon fiber parts for my DM-1 Spec new off eBay. What a difference between what I got and the pictures shown here. I oculd have made them better with a Dremel, and I still might. The edges were not clean, only one side was smooth, some of the holes on th eshock tower ran together. Well, you get the idea. Why did they change the quality all of a sudden. I feel cheated.

That is strange, I ordered 2 sets of CF parts for my DM-1 and one for my Spec car and mine came out great. I'm glad someone makes these parts for the DM-1. You should contact Max Velocity, there emial is on their site.

Default pardon my ignorance...

hiya folks,

this sounds like a fun class but i do have some questions...

-do these gt1/gt2 cars use buggy (mp7.5) arms or are they shortened arms?
-can the gt cars be converted from mp777 or mp9?
-must .28 engines be used? or can regular .21 engines be used instead?

thank you for all the help and info.

Shalom and God Bless!

They use stock 7.5 arms.

I am in the middle of converting a 777, everything fits, but you will need parts from the 7.5 and GT2. Also short shorter shocks for the rear and on-road springs front and rear.

It does not look like anything from the MP-9 will work with the older cars.

I converted a mugen MBX5 once, and used the stock shock towers with Ofna body mounts and a modified front bumper.

You will however need to do some milling for the 2 speed if you plan to use it. I had some custom made motor mount blocks made so I could use a shaft start system. I think the GT2 mounts are standard type now, so that is not an issue.

Unless you plan to race, any engine you want.

Have fun.

Default igt2

Hi folks, what is your opinion on this. The IGT2s can do 50-55 easily. I run my car on an oval track going for top speed. What .28 engine will give me the max rpm to acheive good top speed. Should I consider going to a .21 to get higher revs.

The axial .28 1s is decent but it only gets me up to 60.

I was going to go with Axial .28RR or the Ninja .21.

What do you guys do to get more top end.

thanks.
