comes out in march. I will be purchasing it ASAP! Looks so bad ass. Looks like there is more downforce on the front and with a corvette rear wing on the back of the F1, looks like it'll put more downforce on the rear too.

I guess I would have to see the McLaren body in person. Because right now, the Aston Martin and Corvette bodies are tops, with the Audi in a close third.

Hard to say. It might be one of those cases where you have to know someone on the inside.

I don't know what the fuss is about. Our LHS here in Lincoln Ne got 2 of them in last Monday. Both are sold already. Last week when it was still nice here I drove the McClaren. All you have to do is have your LHS make a order from Kyosho America. Thats what we did here.

If you want proof I will try and get you a pick of it here soon.

One other thing, I am American as you can get but the Vette doesn't hold candle to the Mcclaren side by side the McClaren is way cooler!!

I raced a GT for 2 1/2 years and bought and raced the GT2 (Corvette) last November. I applied the same setup that I had worked on with the GT to the GT2 and raced it the next day. I had an aftermarket engine (Axial) and pipe on the GT and ran the GT2 stock. I felt the GT2 was more stable. Less tendency to kick out the rear. It was more stable... but I changed the oil in the shocks, shock settings and ride height. I was concerned about the longer chassis working in slower tight sections... simply not the case. It is a great ride. Like I said earlier... locktite every metal to metal screw... every one. Change out the dual brakes and pads for the turned single rotor and sintered pads. Set the gear mesh tight... don't be afraid to be tight... it will seat in the first few laps and last for a long time. If you set the mesh like you would normally set gear mesh make sure that you have some spares.. they will strip out. Set the mesh tight. Now... race the heck of it.

Thanks for the tip on meshing the gears. I have been stripping out a bunch and could not figure out why, no matter what I did. I will pass this along to the others that run this car here in Texas.

Juan, I hope it helps. I learned that from Spooky (his name pops up from time to time on this thread and is a local racer here... there is a youtube.com video of me and him racing). The only other time I stripped that gear was when the engine mount screws loosened. Loctite helps there too.

Is that engine still running?

Bill

Still running but loosing compression. Had to run it very hard against the stiff competition in Memphis, TN and Jackson, MS. They allowed us to buy a spec engine from a list to replace the stocker in MS and now TX but I have a new piston and sleeve to rebuild it for TN.
