Cleaning manifolds?

Is there any way to get the baked-on crap off manifolds? I have tried motor cleaner and simple greenm, and neither seem to work.

methanol works wonders.

Wire wheel on a dremel should do the trick too.

Cleaning manifolds?

Guys;

There is a product called 'Demon Clean' that is supposed to work good, but it's $15 for a small can.

Try 'Easy Off' Oven cleaner and a 'ScotchBrite' pad. They worked very well for me in the past.

I clean my exhaust and manifold when are warm with a little of methanol applied on a rag. Cleaning when warm makes wonders and removes all the dirt and grease without problems.

You can try with some Boiling water and vinegar. If don't work try with some Solution of water/ammoniac at 50% and let rest some hours. After this, clean with fresh water and all the dirt should be gone. Warning, depending of the maker of manifold, the Ammoniac can attack the finish.
