If I shorten my receiver wire will this affect my range? It is about 14" long, and I would like to cut about 4" off.

This will shorten the range and quite possibly lead to bad intereference also. The aerial is set at a certain length for a reason and varies between manufacture and model.

If you find the aerial too long take a small piece of fuel tubing and insert it over the aerial and antenna tube to hold the excess from flapping about. Dont tie-wrap the excess with the other cables etc from the servos or battery.

The 26T front side pulley is a front overdrive pulley. The pulley gives an overdrive of about 3.9% to the front wheels when using equal front and rear tire diameter. It depends on your driving style, track layout and car setup.

To get equal front and rear tire rollout (front pulls the same as the rear), use about 2.5 mm smaller front tires than the rear tires.

So basically with the stock gearing and the same sized tires on all 4 corners, the back is going to have more push than the front has pull? thats retarded i would much rather have the front pull the car, especially with the front one way in there.

No, when you use the 26T front side pulley, the front pulls the rear on equal diameter tires.

Thats exactly what i mean, so with the stock gearing the 27 tooth and all 4 tires the same size the front is pushed by the back or is it equal to both tires? Hmm... i might have to get that 26 tooth pulley since i do not have a tire truer for foams and i usually run rubber tires.

With 27T front side pulley, the front and rear pulls equal when the front and rear tires are equal in diameter.

I'm assuming you prefer to have the car with front overdrive (i.e. front tires pulling the car). In my opinion, when you need front overdrive with a 27T front side pulley, no need for a tire truer as the rear tires almost always wear faster than the front tires. By this (bigger front tire diameter than the rear), you already create front overdrive.

Of course if you want MORE overdrive, then the 26T front side pulley is the answer when you run it with front bigger and rear smaller tires.
