arggggg, I swear to God, my mugen never breaks!!!!! i never need parts for it!!

as for the new car, im happy with my part eating mugen.......it eats up the snakes pretty well, so im content! the new car looks solid, like someone said, nothing revolutionary like the tc3 or mtx-3, but a kinda culmination of everything. and of course you will see more noob's then ever with this car getting themselvs in way to deep, way to fast.

with all the noob's though, i think this will easily be the most profitable touring car the world has seen

Of course it will be profitable, take a look at all the other HPI products that most was suckered into and spending more than enough to purchase a real car to get it to handle well enough to race.

Honestly, the new rs40 looks really nice and I will probably have to try one to see if it is competitive with the new mugens, serpents and associated ntc3's. It is always fun and a challange to setup the HPI's.

Default HPI stuff

Guys;

I think most of could admit that HPI really makes great products when used as intended. Until you get enough skill to drive decent most of the faults are not noticable.

I did VERY well with a Nitro-2 for several years and my Pro-3 has continued to spank quite a few 'Better' Cars every weekend.

If the R40 can even come close to the competition out of the box, it will be a major hit for HPI.
Who knows, maybe I'll prefer the R40 even over my Reflex.

Smile Whoes Thad Garner?

With the money HPI makes selling non-race oriented stuff,you would think they could get one thing right besides the PRO2.

thad is one of their company racers...enters events when he gets a chance from the R&D dept in HPI USA

he's very good..if memoryserves me,he was third in the last reedy race...

let me say this...

this car will be unlike ANY you've seen from HPI as far as quality,raceworthiness,and materials....

it will be VERY tunable,and will be able to run on rubber AND foam tires properly....

thats all i'm saying....

What the hell? Looks great but did they design this car by themselves or with a little help? Now I know your argument about how cars end up looking similar but this is suspicious. The 2-speed looks exactly like the Serpent.

for someone who was defending OFNA's ld3 like you were against naysayers who had "bad opinions" of the usual OFNA low quality,youre not being very openminded here..

its great that hpi is getting serious about nitro touring cars.
they have always designed great cars and from the looks
of the new r40 it looks to have a nice layout.
