The explenation can be found in the presentation of the Xray T2 where 2 different cars were made, one stiff chassis for the US where foam tires (high grip) are used and one with a more flex chassis for Europe wher rubber tires (lower grip) are used.

Yep ! that right, Roelof the Xray T2 is the perfecr example of how this mod works, and let us not forget one mod at the time, don't go changing mods on the radio plate, rear bodie post, and rear shock mnt, cause you wont see the effect of the mod.

Default Congrats Mike Swauger!!!

Mike,
What a year you and the MRX4-X have had!!!!! Second at the Worlds,
and now US National Champion!! Great Job for the TQ spot to my fellow
Texan Ralph Burch!

Mike, when you rest up and take a deep breath, how about posting a
commentary from you about the week long nationals. What your thoughts
are and maybe a few words about the 'Worlds' experience.

Mike hasn't posted here in months...

I know that his car is pretty standard except for YBslow lightened drive train parts and the Taller rear mount with a protoform Body....His set up has been posted here a few pages back....

Chicky03 is more active in these boards and finished 3rd at the Nats behind Mike and Paolo.

I'm guessing Mike S., Ralph Burch, and Paul C./chicky's setup wouldn't be to far off from each other.

I just went and found one of my old 3 rear uprights to compare. The pivot balls are spaced further out on the 4 then on the 3. Maybe you could make it work somehow but I think you'd be a lot better off finding some 3 uprights.

What is differant from the stock X arm to make the turn in better? Are you using the M3 hub carrier also?

No the M3 H arm is longer which raises the rear of the body. The increased rake increases downforce across the whole body, increasing grip front and rear. There is no change in suspension geometry at all, it is merely an aero tweak.

I thought he was saying that he was using the A arm. Thanks Sean.

We all ran bascially the same setup. It was Mike's setup from Ft.myers but we all ran R rear hubs for stability and moved the rear body supports on top to the inner hole, that made the car chatter less and be more consistent. The track had super grip! The only other thing that was different on my car was I switched the rear wheel base to std/long instead of the -3mm mod. For me it was easier to drive with 32/35. For the main we went to 35/37 and I wish I would have made it short again, Better luck next time, I guess
