It all depends on how much you want to spend the 35+21 tuned is about $620.00-$670.00 very good motor. Globs of bottom end and and a very strong mid range with good top end.

jp eagle r9 $850.00-$900.00 very costly!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lacks the low end that the 35+21 tuned has

But more than makes up for it with its top end it is stupid fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It also depends on what track you plan on running at if 301 raceway is you track of choice then the top end of the jp eagle r9 or r7 will be more useful.
301 raceway is all about topend rpms!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure what you are asking. The wheelbase mod and camber are two different things. I don't run the wheelbase mod so I'm probably not the one to ask.

If you are running the rear with a narrow track width or a lot of toe in the rear upright can bind on the arm right at the front pivot ball and prevent any more camber.

the only reason why you would have a problem with your camber is your trackwidth is too narrow, the rollcenter 4.5 position has nothing to do with the camber recheck your trackwidth it should be at 267 to 262 any narrower should present you a problem with camber..

What exactly is the shorter wheel base affecting more turn in or turn out?

I have it at the track width it calls out for on the MRX4X set up sheet which is 263MM.

You get a more aggressive car, tighter cornering sumthing like that.

maybe a better way to understand what is wrong:
what is happening when you try to get more than 2.5degrees camber?

if the upper arm is bottoming out, the problem might be the turnbuckle in the upper arm is not threaded 'evenly' or 'equally'(can't think of a better term)
when you try to shorten the upper arm you are running out of thread on one end of the turnbuckle before the other end. in that case you just need to even it up.
