Hi, I am thinking about getting into the 1/8 on road racing.
At the moment I am racing Truggies.

As this is a serpent forum I might not get the answer I am looking for but I will try anyway.

How does the Serpent compare to the Mugen MRX4X ?
Just in qulity and all the rest.

As I have seen the Mugen is priced higher than the Serepnt.

Just trying to find out a little about the two.

They are both high quality kits. I buy Mugen for several reasons, one of which is the availability of parts.

I have both the MRX4X and the Evolva<two MRX4X> and think they are great cars, as is the Evolva.
All of the name brand cars <Mugen, Kyosho, Serpent,Sheperd,Motonica>, are quality kits. But what ever kit you buy, if you can't find parts for the kit when you need it, it is useless just sitting on a shelve while you wait for Fed Ex, or UPS to arrive.
Make sure what ever kit you buy, the local shops support it with a good supply of parts.
I thought about trying the Serpent, but I am very satisfied with the cars I have now.

I guess you stick with the Mugens or Kyosho...., my friend just ditched his serpent for too many problem with serpent's lower suspension arms, they are easy to break. Mugens is the strongest among the three. If you beginner drivers or active racers enjoying racing, I think Mugen is the best car in term of durability, reliability and performance.

Kyosho Evolva is the highest performance car, that's suitable when you are in group A drivers.

I'm still using Mugen MRX4-R. I'm satisfied with the car's durability and reliability.

Mugen MRX 4X is the lowest priced 1/8 on road car in the market.
