Have you actually try 18/48 as first gear combination ?

Once I tried 18/49, its lame.

Now I'm using 16/49, it's better acceleration. I'm going to try 16/50 next time around.

Default gearing

Thanks for the info guys. I am currently running at 301 Raceway. I was running the stock gearing ,but I recently went to 16/19 spur and noticed a difference. I am going to try 48/45 pinion next. Sounds like I've got some testing to do. Thanks for all you guys help and comments.

KMH - I've found 16/49 20/46 to be my choice at 301. I made muliple changes this past weekend, and the feel of the car and the bottom end felt best using the above gearing. We didn't have the lap counter on, so I will try again this weekend.

Has anyone heard any rumors of when Mugen plans to release a new upgrade (or model) of the MTX-4R (to hopefully address moving to a smaller clutch system and a better drive ratio)?

Freddy,

I don't think there are any more of the conversion kits for sale. Think it was a 1 time deal.

No never tried it, there's no reason at my track. No acceleration.

In the US kits, no body provided. Nothing in the manual downloaded from Mugen Seiki.
