When i go full throttle from a dead stop the car will go to the right. so much so that if there is enough room it will do a donut. I also notice that if i step on the brakes when it is going fast it will slide to the right while stopping. if i gradually build up speed it doesnt go to the right so drastically. anyone know what it might be?

Oh, i have an NTC3.

Without knowing what car it is, you might want to check:
1. tweak - is the weight distributed equally among the tires?
2. Tire wear - is it even?
3. Camber and toe for front and rear.
4. dogbones - any missing dogbones? Is the car set too wide that the rear dog bones slip while on power?
5. Are all the shocks properly mounted?

It was a kit that i built myself. I tried to make everything exactly the way the instructions said. I think you may have something with the shocks. I'm not sure if i have those even or not. Also, someone told me that i may have to tweak out the differential in the front or back, but i'm not sure how. I have what came with the kit.

how do i check the dogbones to see if they are slipping? also how do i know if its too wide? I setup the car with the recommended toe in, camber, caster, diffs etc that the instructions suggested. I know i will have to change for the track.

You can always measure the center lien of the chassis with a good ruler. Then measure from the center line to the wedge of the tire. It should be equal on left and right.

Just buy a set-up station and board for you ride. Or a MIP tweak station.

Sounds more like the rear diff is too tight, or the front diff to loose.

It will happen if u run a normal diff with a locker diff.

loosen up the back diff a bit.

If its about to do a donut, its not torque steer.
its pure lack of traction to get the back to push and the front to pull.

yes, that sounds right. like i said, i did everything by the book, but since i am not familiar with the diff settings i may not have adjusted the front/rear diffs correctly. i will take a look at that tonight. thanx for the help guys

Remove the Shocks in pairs and measure the lengths. Ideally each pair should be within a few .000" in overall length (I set mine to .0005"). If one is longer, that tire will have more pressure on the ground and PUSH/PULL the Car to the opposite side.
Equal Droop and Tweak (Left to Right) are also important for the same reasons.

i did notice the shocks were not even. i am going to correct the problem and see if that helps before i take out the diffs. but i'm running out of daylight so i may not have any results until tomorrow. again, thanx for all the help guys

has anyone bothered to ask to obvious, are you runnng Vrages?? that came with the kit

my rtr had worse tires that did this...though with the pixi it stopped since the tires would heat up so bad they'd stick like slicks anyways

....so hot that i left tire marks all over my street from cornering

i ran the stock tires only a couple times. now i have foams.

i believe on the NTC3 diffs, they are ball diffs.

if so there should be a screw to adjust them.
look in your manual to find out where it is.

but the further out you take the screw the more play the diff will have.
so screw the front one in a bit, and loosen the back one up.


but just chek in the manual as well to make sure that that is correct way to adjust.
