i would say xray nt1 due to its smooth "frictionless" drive train.

CEN CT5, 330.00 usd at most any shop. parts are just a tad tougher to get ahold of. with the track belts setup, i was getting about 60mph. with the speed belts/gears CEN had it clocked at the Advertised 73.4 MPH>
it handles Great. drives like its on rails and the 330.00 is mostly in the car, not the box or assessory crap.

toss in good electronics and a decent radio ( the skion sucks imho ) and you ll have a very competative car.

id go for the nt1 too. really smooth drivetrain. It really depends on the engine anyway! check the new hpi rs4 nitro with .18 hpi engine or the traxxas nitro4tec, this kits are really fast on straights.
