Default HPI Pull Start

I have a Nitro Star .15 FE motor with a pull start. I find that it is fairly difficult to pull the cord even when the engine is out of the car. But if i take out the glow plug everything is a lot easier. Is it the tightness of the plug that is making this difficult? Any help would be appreciated fellas. Thanks in advance.

its suposed to be hard to pull, if the engine is new

when it is hard to pull the cord that means the engine has a lot of compression
