Hi, I ran today my fw-05rr and suddenly the engine started reving very high so I stopped it. So my first gear as stripped although meshing was perfect, I ran this gear for the past 3 months with virtual no wear.
After replacing the stripped gear I noticed the car made the same high-reving sound as when the 1st gear one-way is damaged and you have to wait for it to rev down and make this "click" sound to start enganging again.
So the question: If the one-way is dead did it actually cause the gear-stripping? Is water capable of damaging the one-way? (I drove over some water
Greets and thanx
PS. How do you clean your one-ways?
